Thumbs up New owners

After looking at many dealerships and going to a few trailer shows this last year and a half or so, we decided on our Jayco 2015 White Hawk 23MBH travel trailer. We love the layout and heard that Jayco had a good reputation. Next weekend will be her maiden voyage! Any positive or negative advice is welcomed from all. Happy Camping everyone!

Happy trails to you. Have you camped before, or hauled a trailer before?

Make sure to bring a notebook to write down all the things you forgot on the first trip.

Thanks everyone! Jaygiven I have a buddy who has a trailer that was parked at a campground. I used to go and camp with him and after a lot of discussions on the topic of me getting my own trailer, I finally got my one. We went on a fishing trip for a few days and he went through the process of setting up and closing up the trailer. (Emptying and filling the tanks ete.). All I had to do was convince my wife that we should buy one. This spring I convinced her ☺! Thank you for for the advice about the pad and paper. I'll make sure it's in the trailer.

Something you might want to check is that you have an exact fitting lug wrench for the trailer tires...On my rig, the lug wrench for my tow vehicle does not fit my trailer wheels. Not a great time to find out they don't fit is out in the boonies. In the future you will probably want a torque wrench for exact settings on the trailer wheel. If you get into dry camping, a generator will be a must. Welcome and enjoy.

Congrats and welcome from Colorado

There are many posts here on JOF related to best practices for your walk through. Highly suggest that you be prepared for that and take really good notes, and don't let them rush you.
