New proud owners of a X213 Jayco

My wife Amy and I are picking up our new 2014 X213 at Camping World. I'm very new to camping, in fact I have never camped in a trailer. My bride how ever has years of experience from her previous marriage. She has been praying hard about this for years because 3 weeks ago I suddenly caved in and decided to look at campers. I'm not much of a trailering guy. I've had bad luck towing snowmobile trailers in the past so I just left it to my buddy's. One thing for sure I was not going to tow a 36 footer! The camper I picked out was a 17' hybrid. I was so excited I couldn't wait to tell her. One look and she said no. Mind you her last trailer was a 36'! Dejected and frustrated I was about to hang it up, but honestly I really was excited about these campers. I mean WOW these things are very cool. Soon after that she found the X213 at a local Camping World. We went to look at it and I was hooked! it's 23' tongue to tail. It's not so long I'm intimidated and stressed pulling it, yet it has enough room to camp comfortably our family of 3+friend. The boy always has to have a friend with him. I have spent a lot of time here and learned much.

Pictures will be posted later!

Welcome to the JOF both of you. This is the place for all of your questions. Over the past 2 years we have learned a lot from all of the kind people here.

OK I now have the trailer and noticed it's a 213X on the VIN, but some of my paperwork says X213. Is there a difference between the models?
We bought our TT from Camping World in Saukville WI, It was hands down the best experience My wife and I had purchasing. I can not say enough awesome things about our interactions with them.

It pulled awesome. Still have to work out the communication with the bride but all in all I think this camping thing will work for us.
I don't know what brand WDH I have, Camping World installed it. One thing I know it wasn't cheap!

Congrats! You will love the X213, it's a great size for us since we now have 3 grand daughters to take camping with us. At least we should be able to take two of them this year.

Hi Ashippun

Hello Ashippun! I'm just up the road in Hartford.

Welcome to the forum. We just graduated from a PUP to an X18D in April. Maiden voyage is coming up in 10 days (but who's counting?) , and we'll be in your neighborhood Mem Day weekend at Harnischfeger Park.

Also glad to hear of your experience with Camping World. We found ours at Burlington RV while at the State Fair RV show.

Congrats on your TT! Enjoy... and show us some pics once you get out there.
