New Seneca owner from Ks.

Hi everyone
Bought my new 08 Seneca last July. Love it. Traded in Forrester for it. Been looking at them for a while. Price was right. 1st Jayco I owned was a 1978 28ft class C. It was a good unit then and still are today. Planning big trip to Fl next month.

Howdy rhadley6,
Welcome to the forum. That Seneca sure looks nice. You mention having owned several Class C's. May I ask why Class C's and not a Class A? Is it because of the length? number of people it can sleep? driving stability? etc? I have had numerous opportunties to take out an older Bounder Class A. I found it a white-nuckle drive on a windy day. I have often thought that perhaps a Class C would be more stable to drive in such conditions.

Welcome to the forum rhadley6. You will enjoy your Seneca. Which model do you have? We have a 2008 FS36. We really enjoy ours. Only problem we have with ours is that we do not get to use it as much as we would like.
Has Jayco upgraded the 15,000 lb springs for you? The 19,000 lb springs improve the handling tremendously. Some other owners have done some other mods to improve the ride, but so far, we have not.

I like the class C because of the front passenger doors. My Seneca is 37'. The Forrester I had was 32'. It was a hand full when it was windy or pasted a truck. I also tow a Jeep Lerado as a toad so the Seneca works much better for that. It also handles on the road much better than the Forrester. My Forrester was a Ford V-10, the Seneca has a Duramax 6.6 litre 330hp deisel.

My Seneca is an 08 36MS. It has 1 1/2 bath and the full slide on the drivers side and a slide on the passenger side in the bedroom. so far I love it. Got it last July and have only takened it out on a few small trips so far. going to Disney World next month and then to Yellowstone in June. These will be a good test.Planning to tow my Jeep to Yellowstone and staying at Fort Wilderness in Fl.
