New to camping

Hello everyone! I have ordered a 2016 white hawk 33bhbs sight unseen from the factory. The delivery date is March 1st. This is my first TT and I have been exhaustively researching for about 3 years. My tow vehicle is a 2008 Chevrolet 2500hd with the duramax Allison combo. I have 4 kids and the wife and I have decided that this is about the only economical way that we will be able to vacation. Any tips for the newbie?

Congratulations on the White Hawk 'bunk house' and welcome to the JOF.

You certainly have enough truck for the trailer, which is good to see. Since this is your first TT, you'll probably have lots of questions.... just ask away! Lots of good folks and information to be found in this forum.

Always have pen and paper ready to make notes, lists or questions you need to ask.

Congratulations and welcome!

We were in your shoes two tears ago, and the best advice we got was to take it slow and easy. There's no rush, and things will fall into place quickly.

Congratulations! Sounds like a great combo! We just bought our first TT last July. We also have 4 kids and was considering the Chevy 2500. Couldn't find any but we are very happy with our Ford Excursion now! We are just getting the ball rolling with several trips lined up for the spring.

We are trying to put something large together for the summer. This spring I will get my feet wet with a few local trips.

Living next to I-10 you'll make great time getting to many destinations 12 months a year. Your family is in for the time of their lives. Enjoy the USA.
