New to Forums

Good afternoon
We are a Northern Ontario family of 2 + 4 German Shepherds who have rejoined the Jayco family after many years of owning other brands. Last fall, we purchased a North Point 387 RDFS and look forward to our first trip with it toward the end of April. We enjoy Drag Racing, and all things to do with German Shepherds (breeding, trialling, & showing).
I have no experience with Forums and so hope not to make huge bloopers but please feel free to 'guide' me if I do.
Looking forward to interacting with other like minded owners.

Welcome to the forum, this is a very friendly group. It's pretty hard to mess up and nobody is going to crucify you even if you managed to do so somehow.

The only things people tend to get thumped for are bad language, religion, politics and guns. Basically the same stuff I'm not allowed to talk about when I visit my parents

My husband and I are picking up our 387RDFS on Friday. Does it come with a "starter kit' with sewer hose, etc?
Thanks and looking forward to the ride........

Many dealers will give you a "starter" kit with a new purchase. It is just that, something to use until you can find out what you want to purchase.

Usually a water hose and cheap sewer hose. You could ask for a credit and get an upgrade if you know what you need. Usually I would prefer to go camping and find out what you want because there are many choices.

There are a good many threads already here on the subject or you can start another if you like. With your previous experience you may already know but they are always coming up with camping accessories to separate you from your money!

Welcome to JOF

Like Norty1 said, try to get credit. That sewer hose they usually give you will usually only make it from your dump valve to the sewer hole at the dumping station. Definitely not long enough for the other 98% of the time going from the dump valve to the sewer hookup which will go from 5 feet away to 30 or more feet away. I have (2) 20 foot hoses which I can connect together if needed and that will cover almost all my needs.

My trailer is just a little guy and the starter hose has been fine--mostly just the dump station. You can really go 40 feet without some sort of "traffic jam"?

Keep reading the forums, lots of things you will want.. or need. Water pressure regulator, possibly an Electrical management system etc. Depends on how you will use your RV, boon docking, always with full hook ups etc.

Congratulations on your new rig !
