New to Jayco

Hello, I would like to introduce my wife and I. We live in Chico, Ca. I am recently retired and now a busy house husband, dog-daddy, cook, fisherman, hunter, hobbyist gold prospector. My wife is still working as an RN, but when she not working we like to take RV vacations and kayak (flat-water) and she loves to photograph nature and wildlife. Our three kids are grown (no grand kids yet) Just two daschunds and a mini-aussie. Yesterday, we brought home our new Jay Flight 28 RLS. We love the amenities and the floorplan. But today I swapped-out the factory mattress for a much more comfortable one. I don't know what these RV companies are thinking when they put rock hard mattresses in new units ( but maybe some of you like a bed firm ? If anybody wants to come get the Jayco Simmons 60X80" queen, it's yours. We just sold our 1995 Aljo 2440, 24' trailer so this is a nice upgrade for us. The old trailer served us well through 3 kids growing up and took from S. California and up and down the pacific coast to Oregon and Washington and east to Yellowstone and far north Idaho. We look forward to new adventures in our new roomier coach, with all those big windows.

Congratulations on the new purchase. We are on our second Jayco and live in Anaheim Hills. We just added a memory foam topper to our mattress. All the difference in the world. Happy travels.

Congrats on the Jayco. We're 28RLS new owners too. I agree with the rock hard mattress comment. We didn't replace the mattress though. Just added a 4" memory foam topper on it and now it's the best sleep ever! Two dauschunds and recently retired here also. Best wishes for happy times in your new TT! We love our 28RLS.
