New to Jayco

We purchased a 2017 Jayco Eagle HT 24ckts in May. We retired last year and are full timers, but have been camping all of our married life. This floor plan is working very well for us, and the bonus is that it is small enough (just under 30') so we can pull our boat behind it (using the factory installed hitch) during the summer months in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area. Looking forward to looking through the pages here on the forum.

That's so great! Do you mind if I ask what your TV is? We have a 27.5 RLTS HT on order and are vehicle shopping now. Congrats on retirement too!

It "was" a Furrion 40". It actually worked great, had a wonderful picture and synced very well with the Furrion DV1200 sound system however we wanted a "smart" TV so we replaced it with a 40" Samsung 5200 series. We still enjoy the sound system (the Jayco replaced a 2001 Shasta 27' motorhome and we didn't have a system in there), but use an optical cable from TV to DV1200.

Welcome to the JOF and congratulations on your new 2017 Jayco Eagle HT 24ckts. We too are retired and enjoying the RVing lifestyle. While not full timers like yourselves, we do spend a lot of time in our motorhome traveling the US and planning a big trek up to Alaska late next spring.

Sorry jonesykay! I didn't know TV didn't mean TV! We have a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 heavy duty w/6.7 Cummins diesel. Extremely happy with it but it is a high truck. Our RV dealer recommended the 16 inch tires plus they also raised the back end a few inches.
