New to RV'ing

Recently purchased a Jayco 26BH, with WDH. TV is 2016 Silverado, Double Cab, 5.3L, 4x4, 6 speed trans, 3.42 ratio, with tow package. Hoping truck will be good with towing the rv. New to owning an rv, any tips/advice appreciated.

Welcome, like the other posts above there are some really bright people on this sight that will help you, I'm sure one of the first things things they will ask you is... have you been to a scale to weigh your truck and camper loaded as you will haul it. That helps them determine if you are at or below your rates capacities for your vehicle.
Good luck and happy camping!!

Being that its winter, and having just purchased, haven't weighed yet. Truck has a payload of 1812lbs (yellow sticker in door jam). Glove box says trailer up to 9600lbs.

Welcome from the other side of the state! Ask anything you like. The only dumb question is the one that doesn't get asked. A treasure trove of experience at your finger tips!

I bought a 26bh last year and my F-150 has a towing capacity of around 8,300 lbs. I try to avoid steep grades because the truck does struggle a bit on steep hills but I drove it from Pennsylvania to the florida keys last year and it handled it fine. miles per gallon were pretty low though.
