New to the RV'ing world!
Hi everyone!
Love this forum as I have been searching for information and it has been very helpful. So thank you to those of you who are willing to respond and help out.
Our family purchased a Featherlite X23B about 3 weeks ago and went out this past weekend for our first time! Loved it! We "boondocked" as we didn't want to "unwinterize" and "rewinterize". Pardon my lack of "RV" lingo. 
We got home last night. Unloaded all the clothes and food. Taking it to its storage spot which is 20mins away.
My "i hope not so stupid" question is what can we leave in the TT for the season? My BIL/SIL have an RV and told us absolutely no cardboard. Is this for everything? Such as Board Games? Trying to figure out what to leave in for the season and what I need to load every time (outside of perishables).

Welcome! RVing is awesome, as you know. The people you meet along the way are awesome too.
I take all food items out and anything that can freeze.
I always take anything out that a mouse may like to use for food or nesting material. Mice are my enemy and I do what I can to make the safe from them.

we leave paper products in ours but in Tupperware containers ... we don't leave the squirt bottles of hand soap or dish soap in there any more while its sitting during the summer because it gets messy ... mice like food and things they can make bedding out of so our pillows go up in overhead storage and blankets and sheets too ... Tupperware as much as possible if you can.. canned goods no problem... toilet paper definetly put up .... keep food crumbs cleaned up and that helps too

Why not cardboard?
In the beginning of the season I load it up with condiments, ice in freezer, frozen pizza etc.. obviously the perishables,bread and etc.. before we leave. I just leave the fridge on all season. Winter i remove all food, dry out fridge, Winterize camper. However I have been leaving all my cloths, soap, games, dishes, blanks, sheets etc.. basically everything except food. Haven't had any issues with it. I also put one of those damprid thing in there. Put cushions on edges and leave the clothes cabinet doors cracked open. Don't know if what i do is right but so far has worked well for me. Interested in seeing what other people think..

I don't see any problem leaving board games in the RV. We have a trailer permanently parked in a campground and has been there over 15 years and the board games are just fine.

I've been told the scent of dryer sheets will make mice leave. They don't like it.
Of course it doesn't do much to keep them from coming in to begin with.

We also use dryer sheets as well as peppermint oil on cotton balls. The same reason mice supposedly don't like the smell and in the spring it smells minty. We also throw a couple fake snakes on the floor throughout the camper and we haven't had any mice issues at all. Although in the spring the fake snakes scared me a couple times as I forgot they were in there lol.
