New White Hawk 24RKS
Hi,
Glad to have the opportunity to be here. My sweet wife and I are waiting on our RKS to be delivered this week and start using it. Since there is only 2 of us we feel the 24 will be great with lots of space and big trailer things in a small well built package. We are however concerned about the life of the fiberglass and have not seen much feedback by White hawk owners, can some of you that read this let us know your opinion ?
Thank You, John & Marianela

Congratulations and welcome! This is our first year with a TT, but based on experience with a boat, with regular cleaning and a couple of good coats of quality wax a year you shouldn't have any problems with he fiberglass.

Congratulations! on the new White Hawk, and welcome to The Forum! I took a serious look at the 24RKS before ultimately deciding on my Eagle 266RKS. Don't you just love the convenience of having the kitchen right inside the back door? And the spaciousness with the slide out? And how about all the storage? . . .
I could go on and on, but the main point is "Welcome! and I hope you enjoy your new Hawk!"

Welcome to the club. My Dad has a 24 RKS. Its a few years old now, but he still loves it. Wax. Keep roof clean. Fix any leak (that may occur) real fast. Water between walls is delaminations best friend.

Hello from Saskatchewan , I have a 06 ram 1500 4x4 so my towing abilities are limited. Will a jay flight 26rks with a skirt withstand -20 C . I can't find a true 4 season trailer 5000 lbs dry or less they seem to all start at 6000 lbs which is too much after a 1000 lbs of fuel water and gear.

Hi Robkelly,
Thanks so much for your input. We are picking out TT up tomorrow, it is nice here in KC and this weekend will take some time and celebrate with a little champagne and some wax on the trailer of course.
Happy Camping

Hi Brownie,
Thanks so much for the welcome and yes we are also very excited about the 24RKS and glad you decided on the 26. There are lots of advantages and it is great to see most people here are happy campers and enjoying their Jayco TT.
Happy Camping,
John & Marianela

Welcome to JOF!
Came close to buying the 24RKS as well before buying a 25BHS. Just need more places to sleep since we rarely travel alone and bunk house was our best bet.
Loved that trailer though! Enjoy!

After two years, my White Hawk fiberglass looks good. I have zero delamination. My only issue is some slight front end fade. However, I have the darker colored front and I believe your's will be a very light creamy color. That should help and maybe prevent what I experienced.
I wax mine too but for the front end that didn't work to prevent some fading. Otherwise, my exterior looks brand new.

Hi All,
Thanks so much for your great replies. We picked up our new WH from Carthage, Coachlight RV, there were a few issues that were quickly resolved and
an issue where the grab handle was installed and there is nothing behind it to hold it. We left the TT in Carthage for them to remove the handle and repair the new TT, hopefully like new. Everyone there has been great so far and I am sure this issue will be resolved as well and we will be able to pick up our new TT soon. It is a great TT and we both applaud Jayco on an amazing piece of equipment.
Thanks,
John & Marianela
