Smile Newbees for 4 weeks

My husband and I just got our first travel trailer - a 264bhw 4 weeks ago. With 4 children, college-age and up, we decided to get the bunks in the back so they can join us any time!
Weekend 1: Our "test" trip to a Corps of Engineers campsite 3 miles from our house. All went well!
Weekend 2: A little further - a 2 hours drive up a highway to a state park campground that we had been to before - in a tent. Big difference!!! So happy for A/C!
Weekend 3: A 5 hour drive down the interstate to a state park campground in East TN. Absolutely beautiful, once we got there. I think I aged ten years going down the interstate, though. On the way back, my husband and I finally started getting used to the trucks blowing us around and I was able to relax a little. No trailer sway - just wasn't prepared for the truck wind.
Weekend 4: No trip this weekend and I'm going crazy. I think we're hooked. We absolutely love our new Jayco!

Welcome!

Welcome to JOF... where we know the feeling all too well!

When we tent camped, 1-2 trips per year.
The last 5 years in a pop up, about 2-3 trips per year.

In the four months since we've had our TT.. 4 trips down, with 3 more booked in August alone. And we haven't even thought about fall camping yet!
