Newbie

Hello everyone,
I just brought home a 1993 Jayco Jay 1006 yesterday and am really excited to fix it up and get it ready for camping. Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Welcome and congrats. Is there a lot of fixing required before you head out for a camping trip?

Thanks for the welcome! There is a bit of mouse damage on valances and cushions, and a couple of small places where canvas and screens need patches, but so far, I haven't discovered anything major (knock on wood!).

The previous owner had used moth balls and dryer sheets as a deterrent, but the mice came anyway! I've got the camper in my garage, so I hope I won't have a hard time there.

I live in the country, I don't believe moth balls or dryer sheets work. Making sure the trailer is completely cleaned at the end of the season is a must.
I hope that cleaning up after the mice isn't too much and hope you got a real deal on it!!

Welcome from South Carolina. A 1006 was our first RV. Made lots of memories with it. Good luck on the restore.
