Newbie in Kansas

My wife and I are finally empty nesters! We had a Class A Adventurer when the kids were growing up. Sold that when kids' activities took over all free time. Now looking at purchase of a 2011 Eagle 313 RKS to place on land and take on trips. Need any advice/ feedback why I should be looking at a different floor plan and/or issues owners have had with this unit. Also will be using information from this site a lot since we are new to the 5th wheel concept.

Welcome to the forum. You just need to get the trailer that will meet your needs.

Welcome to the site my kids are grown up now and we find the RKS style floor plans great for two people. Good choice it still leaves the option of putting beds down for guests but not having dedicated sleeping areas. I have visited Kansas a couple times and had a great time met lots of very nice people.

Welcome from south central Kansas. Our kids are basically out too, but they and the grand toddlers occasionally tag along to area lakes to go fishing and boating. Enjoy!

Welcome to JOF from Northeast Ohio!

Floor plan is one of the most important. Think about times when you will be travelling, times when you will be entertaining, times when it's raining. Need to think about all of the different ways you are going to use your Eagle to find the floor plan that works the best for you.

Welcome. We just traded a 2008 313RKS that we really liked. The open living room was very comfortable and the rear kitchen let the cook visit without having their back to others. We also had our on a seasonal site.

Welcome.

I agree, we looked at several floor plans, and our Eagle 30.5 RLS picked us... Our kids are mostly grown so we wanted a living room, not a bunkhouse, so the fold down couch and dinette are perfect for the occasional visitor ( hopefully grandson )

With separate master bedroom, the kids can have their sleepover, and we can take our leave.
