Newbie TT owners

My dh and I just purchased a 2015 Jay Flight 26BH. The whole TT thing is new to us. We started camping almost 10 years ago, with a tent and blankets. Slowly, we purchased camping items and by the time we were done, we had everything but the kitchen sink. I injured my neck a couple years ago, and camping in a tent just isn't what it use to be for me. Tent camping = pain. We decided last fall that we would purchase a pop up camper this Spring. Well, we looked at the pop ups and found one we liked, that is until we walked by the bunk house. I was instantly in love.

They drew up the paperwork and before we knew it, we were owners. We had our walk through the other day and now we are just waiting for the campground to open that we are moving it to. We are just parking it for a year while we figure it out and next year hopefully we will tow it. I am completely nervous about it. Just want to make sure we learn what we need to learn before we bring it on the road.

I look forward to reading all the tips of the camping with a TT world out there. I know this forum will be fine because we all love camping. Most campers are GREAT people.

Welcome. Congrats on the upgrade!

I was so totally adverse to RVs for so many years ( as a young man I hiked most of the Appalatition Trail )

One summer we rented an RV and took the kids on a trip. 3 weeks later we purchased our first trailer. Last year, upgraded to a fifth whelel.

This is a great forum and no shortage of opinion, information and friendships. Also check out some of the social groups for more local flavor on camping in your area

We have the 264BHW which is very similar. And we love it. We also have tent camped, have lots of gear, and weren't expecting to get trailer quite so soon. But we're glad we did. We've spent about $1,000 or so getting it set up. Be sure to do the winterization to the letter when the time comes. And be sure everything works before you really need it to.

Congrats on the TT! The bride and I also came up thru the tenting ranks. This forum is the best. With the combined knowledge and experience of this forum we could bring about world peace. Your questions should be like voting, early and often. Be sure to post what you learn because after your first outing you will know things that the next first-timer will want to hear.

We also purchased the 2015 26BH, and camped for first time last weekend. It's so nice, especially going from tent camping to this.
A couple of things we did was to buy the plastic drawer setup from Walmart to use in the two wardrobes on either side of the bed. We also put up a dry erase board to jot down notes as we go.
