Official Jay Feather 228 owners!

Well we went ahead yesterday and officially purchased our 228! Very happy with the layout of the trailer. All we need now is for the snow and minus 10 Celsius weather to go away and we will be off camping. Although we still need the dealership to make some modifications to the unit. We are having a skylight installed over the shower (it helps when you are 6'3") and the rear access panel to the bottom bunk is getting switched out to a window for the extra light in the cave as the kids put it. Come on summer time!

Congrats on the new camper. I looked at the 228 as well and found the shower a little tight on headroom as well(I'm 6'2"). Glad you were able to get that fixed for you. It is a nice layout and the weight is respectable.

when was your 228 built? mine suprisingly enough came with the skylight over the shower although i was not expecting it. mine was built in feb 2012. jayco says they made some changes in production after all the literature on them was already printed. found my tanks are a lot bigger also.
congratulations!!! we love our 228!!
