Ordered a new 338 rets

Hi all not new to camping but getting a new 338 rets . When we ordered it at the show I didn't realize it was 39 ft long but I reckon I can deal with it. Loved the layout and the bed slide, but a little concerned as we were supposed to get a 2014 and since there was a mistake on the order and the unit came in with the wrong interior stuff now we are getting a 2015 . Hope there aren't too many interior changes ! Hope to get to know you all and look forward to camping in a little more style this year

Congratulations on the new Eagle and welcome. We're in the same 2014 vs. 2015 boat with our WH, only ours came in damaged and the dealer wouldn't accept it.

yeah my biggest concern is what i have run into so far with the communication on what we ordered , what they will and wont do on orders and why they dont tell the dealers things that they wont do. the flooring options changed on their line after we ordered in feb. then we found out when it came in that if you ordered the pewter interior you cant get the leather recliners and sofa ... that is only option with brownstone and chestnut interior. dealer didnt know that until it came in with pewter material couch and chairs . then they put a booth dinette in it instead of the table and chairs we ordered and that was a biggie. seems like a lack of communication and who is to blame i dont know... i guess when we get the next one we will find out if the problems have been rectified but i worry now what other line changes have taken place since 2015 model year started ... we will see in about a week keeping fingers crossed

Our dealer had the same problem with Jayco. We ordered the Ledgestone Fireplace with the 40 in tv on the wall. We were setting there when the dealer called in our order. Unit came in with the short fireplace ledge and a 32 in popup tv behind the fireplace. Nice unit but not what we ordered. We would not accept. So our dealer has an extra unit sitting on his lot. Told him he better sit on Jayco and make sure the next one came in as ordered and it did. Couldn't be happier. We did have lots of problems out the chute the first time but our wonderful dealer made every thing right. This was our third unit from this dealer in ten years so he likes our business. First time we have had any problems with Jayco so hopefully that was just an aberration!

Good luck....IMO the waiting is the worst part of ordering a new TT.

Well hopefully 2nd time is a charm the dealer was supposed to go up and pick it up yesterday and we are supposed to go in Saturday to get it . Hope it is all right this time as we are supposed to have our first camping trip next weekend . At least for us we are lucky dealer is close enough to go get it at the factory , I feel sorry for all those in other states waiting on transport . I heard horror story's about shortage. Of drivers and the holding lots up there with 20000 units sitting there waiting to be delivered . I will send pics when I get it . Fingers crossed

Paintinfool3,
The consensus of Forum members getting 2015's instead of 14's is that the changes are for the better! Led lights, frameless windows, lighter flooring, etc. that will help enhance the camping experience. Hope you find that to be the case, too.

Welcome to The Forum, and enjoy your experiences both here and at the campground!

Yeah we had the frameless window option and others that the dealer had on the show model . I think the skylights have changed for the better ... Hope the backsplash stays what it was on the show model, not the wallpaper but the subway style, flooring was in question when we were at the factory, we wanted the weathered plank but the last time I spoke with the factory they said they had pulled it from line and had a little darker browner plank. We couldn't get the pewter decor with the leather sofa and recliners which we didn't know and neither did the dealer til the first one came in with pewter material couch and chairs. The rep from jayco told us if they make a line change on something it is what it is so I sure hope any 2015 changes are for the better... We will see in the next few days I hope.

Oh and on the leather sofa and chairs the ones we wanted at the show were dark brown leather and all the new pics I am seeing are sort of a caramal color that I could live with but now we are pushing it on our first outing next weekend I would love to have a few days with Tito check and tweak anything before we leave
