Organization tips Needed- newbie

Hello Everyone,
I'm CampNPeace's wife, we are new owners of a Jayco Ultra Light Whitehawk 27RBOK!! We absolutely ❤️ our camper, our fur baby, Kola, is still adjusting!
I would love some input and pics of ways to organize, how to keep stuff secure especially in the kitchen/pantry!! Currently using paper plates but looking for nice looking, non breakable dinnerware and some kind of flat griddle. The griddle I currently have doesn't distribute heat well. I'm looking forward to hearing about your tips and tricks!!

Everyone has there ideas. I'm a bit cheap, so we have a few shoe boxes that hold items like cups, and bowls. The plates we use are plastic, we just stack them ip and put our paper plates on top of them. Er primarily use paper plates. My parents have old cardboard velveta chase boxes for their "glass" wine glasses. We use plastic wine glasses, in a shoe box. We do have a nice low sided plastic box that holds all our spices and like.

As for pots and pans, there piled in on top of easy other, we have paper plates or heavy paper between them. The griddle, which we use almost every weekend, I kept in the original cardboard box. I keep it in the cargo hold.

Welcome to the forum.

Are you totally new to camping or ??

Looking at your floorplan, I see you have a pantry in the kitchen. We love ours. My DW made several trips to a local dollar store and bought different sizes of plastic bins. She has them in the pantry, under the bathroom sink, and many other places. They really help us to keep 'stuff' sufficiently organized for our needs.

Many folks have converted one or both of the bedroom wardrobes to shelves. Right now we are using one wardrobe for a few hanging items and the other has a collapsible laundry hamper for dirty clothes.

There's lots of hints and tips in this site. Grab the beverage of your choice, find the 'search' button, relax, enter a keyword, and see what you find. Half the fun is finding out about stuff you weren't really looking for or learning about stuff you didn't know you didn't know.

I hadn't thought about the plastic shoe boxes, I think that will be a good choice because I can stack and use vertical space in my cabinet! Another camper here at our park use a plastic magazine rack to hold plates! Thanks for the idea!!

No, we are not new to camping. We took all our gear from tent camping minus the tents and loaded the camper! I have plenty of cabinets that are empty or partially loaded. I have thought about plastic bins for some get the sizing right will interesting for the skinny cabinet!! I'm wondering if anyone has used the roll out shelves for the pantry like they use in homes.
Thank you for sharing what your DW has done and I will surf around this site for ideas!!

We discussed modifying the TT pantry before we bought the trailer. We had a roll out pantry in our class B Sportsmobile and really liked it. But, after 2 years using the TT and the plastic bins in the pantry, we think it's great the way it is.

If you look at My Registry, there is a picture of a roll out spice rack that I installed in a "DEAD" spot between the sink and the stove. It was about 5" wide but the 3" rack fit perfectly.

Everything is in sealed (lids with locking clips) plastic boxes in the pantry.

Welcome! I will try to reply to this when we get the trailer out of storage. That'll be a while based on a normal winter for us. This has not been a normal one so it may be sooner rather than later. Random thoughts: we are a fan of 3M Command Strips. We used them to attach a knife rack to the back of a cabinet door and decided we didn't like it and took it off without any damage. We have a rack we bought real cheap to hold pan lids.

Organizing a TT is a living being. I get the passthru, and under the bed. DW gets the kitchen drawers (except a little one) and cupboards. We share the space under the dinette ('cause the passthru is already FULL). With some measuring of spaces, and plastic totes of proper size, and a folding crate or two, you'll get it where you like it. Don't be surprised if you get better ideas, and adjust what you put where. Just don't forget where you put it next time (like I do).

After a few trips and moving things that you seldom use, but need, you'll start the process of organizing based on need. For instance, I seldom use my hand crank coffee grinder, but if we're dry camping I may want it. Same with tools. Some I need every trip (hammer to pound stakes), but pex tubing crimp tool, very seldom.
First thing I'd suggest to notepad.

Thank you all for your suggestions and I appreciate your input ! I did order the Magma stacking stainless steel cooking set, it works well ( I used it in my house for a trial run) and easy to clean. ☺
