Proud New Jayco 387RDFS Owner

Just picked up our new 2018 Jayco North Point 387RDFS 5th Wheel a week ago . We have only used it one night to test it out so far. Looking forward to using it for many years to come. Just a few small things found on the maiden voyage for the dealer to fix, Nothing major.

We absolutely love the floorplan with the elevated living room area and the external storage compartments under the living room. Having owned 2 5th wheels previously (both different brands) we have moved up to the North Point.

Not thrilled about the 42 foot length. Guess i'll get used to it. I'm sure we have limited ourselves to campgrounds we can fit into. I found that out the first night. It was extremely tight getting into our campsite. Fortunately a couple of our great campsite neighbors assisted me by watching the campers sides by the trees closely. Our previous 5th wheel was 36.8 feet long. The extra 6 feet in length does make it more challenging. I drew a small crowd watching me back out of our campsite. the next morning. Everyone said I got a Gold Star for my driving skills .

The "New Jayco" also drew a crowd by its look and style.

I'm sure I will have several questions for the forum in the future.

Happy Camping
