Retiring in December...
Greetings!
The better half and I are both retiring in December and we have been shopping hard for a fifth wheel. We are down to the Jayco brand, now just trying to decide which model and floor plan suit our needs best.

There is also a colorado campers social group you can join ( although new )
Picking a 5er has lots of planning.
Tow vehicle is a place to start as that may define the maximum length and weight
Slide outs. While awesome, add to that weight.
Kim and I bought a new 2014 30.5 RLS. ( RLS. Rear living space ) back in January. A big upgrade from our 20 ft trailer.
The 30.5 is 34 ft long, with bedroom up in the " attic": bath mid trailer, and living space in the rear, complete with large window in the back - window to the world.
K&C in Longmont is probably the closet dealer ( and CW )
You will find lots for threads on this forum about makes and models and all types of mods and upgrades

Good for you both, I retired last September, don't miss the circus but I miss some of the clowns! As for the choice of 5ers, if you are on the road and not a seasonal site make sure you have the proper tv and rear kitchen floor plans play havoc with the contents of the cupboards and fridge.

Our tow vehicle is a 2014 Dodge 3500 Dually, 3.73 gears, Aison Transmission, and a wonderful Cummins motor. We are looking for a bunkhouse model so we can take some of the grand kids along for trips on occasion.

Congrats on the upcoming retirement. Choosing the right trailer requires a lot of walk-thrus and tire kicking. Are you full timing, weekenders or a couple weeks at a time? Our first trailer was a bunkhouse because we thought we needed to accommodate the grand kids and it worked great but when inside, lacked that cozy living room feel. When we switched floor plans we learned the grand kids really didn't care, they were just happy to join us even if that mention an air mattress on the floor or a tent outside.
