we had Jayco 1995 original bunkhouse travel trailer when kids were young. Just brought new 2014 5th wheel 38FLFS, which is 41'11" which we will be towing with a f250 crew cab, diesel, SRW. looking to go traveling, cross country. any helpful pointers?

If you have ordered the Pinnacle 38FLFS, that sure is a lot of trailer for a 3/4 Ton Truck.

Do not know what options you ordered but it does not take long for the Dry Weight to approach 13,000 lbs. and the Pin Weight will get to 3000 + lbs. pretty quick.

We just has our Pinnacle 35LKTS weighted last week, Trailer weight came in at 15,600 lbs. and we have generator prep but no generator (we do have a stackable Washer / Dryer), Pin Weight was 3,700 lbs.

We do have Dual Pane Windows, Two A/C units and such, our trailers "As Shipped" weight label shows almost 13,000 lbs. shipping weight.

It does not take long to add several thousand pounds of weight / cargo to a large 5er like the 38FLFS !!!!

Agree with Rob.

Pinnacle's are not light and with the model you have I would definitely get to a scale and find out what you really are pulling and IF the 250 is the right TV....which IMO is light on capability.

Good luck and safe travels.

The unloaded factory pin weight of #2500 lbs for the 38FLFS will far exceed your F-250's payload capacity unless modifications have been made.
