Where do they hide the converter?

Hello forum,

I am hoping someone here can help. We have just taken our 2015 Jayco Eagle 323LKTS on its maiden voyage. Come to find out the converter is not working and is not charging the batteries.

My question is where does Jayco hide the converter in this model? I have looked high and low (albeit it was 11:30 PM when I was looking with my flashlight) and I can not locate the converter. I have done my fair share of reading and want to check the fuses on the converter before I drag it back to the dealer, but I need to find the converter first. Does anyone have knowledge of this model 5th wheel?

EagleOne,

It is right before your eyes. The converter is part of your power center under your bench next to the CO2 and propane detector. It's an all in one power distribution with your circuit breakers and fuses along with what Progressive calls their charging wizard. You should have a book on yours in your documentation pack.

I will look a little closer when I pull it out of storage this weekend.
Another question, do you know if it is possible to adjust the calibration on the auto level? Ours is off by a half a degree front to back. If not, it is not hard to adjust.

Thank you so much. I was able to troubleshoot the problem very easily. I had 3 blown fuses between the converter and the batteries. After swapping out the bad fuses, the charging system started up immediately. Thanks again.

Of course now what you need to find out is why did the fuses blow... This usually indicates some wrong with your batteries... Check the battery fluids etc... The one that has low battery fluids may have developed a cell short drawing too much current from the converter/charger unit thus blowing your fuses.

The other thing that blows fuses is when you accidentally hookup your batteries backwards. Have you removed your battery cables recently?

Fuses just don't blow on their own.... You want to find out now while you are at home and not on the road somewhere...
