2018 Jayco Eagle Slide won't retract

The bedroom slide will not retract and the owner's manual does not help to locate the how to manual retract the slide. One side of the slide has power and will retract about 6 inches. Does anyone have any indication as to how I can retract the slide to get it to the dealership in the morning?

This is very generic instructions and may not be apt for your unit. Get underneath it and locate the motor. You may have to unscrew a cover to see it. Disconnect the power harness. If there is a rubber boot on the end of the motor compress that boot up or down to unlock the motor. When it's unlocked, then you are able to use a wrench on a 1/2 inch or 5/8 type wrench that will manually retract it. Maybe someone can chime in with more specific instructions

We had a problem similar to that last year and were able to get it in by having someone push the slide in gently on the side that was not moving, at the same speed, as someone inside operated the slide controls.

I was able to see the problem looking inside at the bottom. Reconnected the push on connector and moved it so it would not happen again.

I found that the power wire to the motor on the not working side had disconnected itself by being hung up at the bottom of the side where a wire connector had pulled loose.

Are you sure the moto is not running at all? On my unit from time to time one side doesn't want to retract.. I think part of the problem is that when I extended it, you need to make sure to hold power down to it 2 seconds after it's extended. When I started doing that I have much less trouble with the sideout.
