What is the load range of the tire you are going to use?

Yes, I don't see why not. Being a 2011 I'm puzzled that it doesn't have radials now. It should have been delivered with radials.

There should be a label on the front left side that will have information as to what size tires should be on the TT

agree, they should already be radials. I would check the sticker on the trailer for the recommended size before changing anything.

OK than that is what was on the camper when it was new You can change to the radials if you want suggest you look at MAXXIS ST TIRES as some of the other brands have been getting bad reviews

There was a recent thread on this. I personally did a lot of searches on various forums. It appears the the issues are with Towmax 15" ST tires. Other sizes, especially the 13" don't appear to be a problem. But, yes, if I was looking to replace old tires, I'd be looking at the better brands.

If you are going to replace tires - no matter whether they are radials or STs - look at the Max Weight Rating for the tire at max pressure (stamped on the side). Then multiply times the number of tires. If that number equals or exceeds the GVWR of your trailer (printed on the yellow sticker on your trailer), then you will be fine. The radials would be a better tire all around - speed, balance, ride, but only if they can safely carry the load.

Load range D according to the label....... Consider going to a load range E .... Spend a bit more, but worth the confidence of knowing you have better load capacity.
They make D in both 8 and 10 ply....

Thanks for the replies folks ...
OK, I did some checking and the Load Rating on the Carlysle tires (here near Ottawa) is "C" Load Rated ... 1,480 lbs max load ... ST185/80R13 "LRC"
The current one's I have are "D" Load Rated ... 1,730 lbs max load ... WD H188ST 185/80D13 "D"
Guess I can't go with the radials. Will stick with finding new WD H188ST 185/80D13 "D"s

your RV is rated at 3500 lbs gross if you only have a single axel you will need D load range tires But even with that in mind your current tires are slightly under the 3500 max of the RV

If possible you might be able to go with 14 inch tires if you have the clearance.
You may want to check this out with a dealer
ST205/75R14 are rated for 1760 lbs at 50 psi

E rated tire in a 13 inch rim may be hard to find.

Jayco subtracts the weight on the tongue in the GVWR calculation so that the tires don't need to support the whole 3500#. They deliver the trailer with as little as it needs. Check your axle limits, you'll find they don't add up to the GVWR either.

I ended up buying Carlisle 8Ply LRD 185/80D13 replacement tires. MAx capacity is 1710 lbs, so I should be good for now.
On another note ... I heard a lot about Maxxis tires and how good they are from lots of posts in these forums. I checked here in Ontario Canada and had a hard time finding a local dealer. Closest one is in Brampton Ontario. In 2 weeks they're launching an eStore for trailer tire purchases ... so check it out everyone.
