Of course ya don't. ya hook the chain links thru the clevis pin and ditch the hasp. who needs extra hardware? just adds weight to the rig. :-)

I had to do a double take before realizing that is the cotter pin lock he is attached too...

Hmmm maybe he doesn't want that hugh pile of steel on wheels following him out of control... You know when the brake control line snaps loose the Trailer electric brakes will stop it for you...

The sad part is that DOT SAFETY Inspection probably would pass that hookup...

This must be the setup the idiot used whose trailer came disconnected and hit the side of my daily driver. Luckily no injuries.
