When you consider what retailers pay their employees, it's no wonder the ones they get are less than stellar. When I worked for a convenience store after the first time I retired, I got to see some of the employment applications. It was amazing how pathetic most of them were, even though they were high school graduates and, in some cases, college students. Those went straight into the trash.
