Love it! We are a couple that went camping for our honeymoon. We got lots of awkward looks and strange "Well, that sounds nice." comments! We had a wonderful time and I woudln't trade those memories for anything!

Some non-RVers can really ask or say some stupid stuff.

My wife was once at a neighborhood get together and a lady asked her what house she lived in. She told her the one with the motorhome in the driveway. The lady the asked, "What do you use it for?"

Once when I told a coworker we were going to the beach in the motorhome, he said he wouldn't want to stay in a box.

Another neighbor inquiring about the motorhome stated, "There aren't any campgrounds in town".

Another poor soul once asked why I would want to go camp at a state park and said there is nothing to do there!

Some folks just don't get it.

I agree and think they're missing out on some great adventures.
On the other hand, if we all liked the same things, life would be pretty boring...plus the campgrounds would be WAY too crowded!

Yep, some people just don't have a clue about what they're missing out on. There is something very restful and calming about a nice campfire on a cool spring evening, that just can't be beat. Rushing around the city trying to cram too much into one's day is definitely not my cup of tea.

We spent our first night together in a small trailer behind my parents house in Bonnie IL. Got married in Little Rock AFB Chapel - drove all night to get home to show off my new bride - spent our first night in my brother-in-laws trailer sitting behind my Dad's house. Well actually our second night - the first night was driving all night hehe...

Woke up the next morning with family banging all around on the trailer getting us to wake up for breakfast... That was back in 1963...

Life was great back then - New bride - New 1962 Chevy 283 Impala Convertible - we still together after all these years... four daughters - five grandkids - three great grandkids all still together here in the King George VA area. Only four of us kids in the immediate family left now with the Bonnie, ILL connections. Life goes on...
