A Washing Machine for Campers
... a 5 gallon bucket and a plunger. DW saw the tip on some program but doesn't remember where.

I read where someone just put clothes and soap in the bucket with a lid and let it slosh around between CG's.
Don't know about the rinse or spin cycle.

... sounds like that would work, too. A rinse in the same bucket will be good enough for me.
Crabman has the post below yours. I hope he's using a different bucket and plunger for each function.
Edit: I didn't notice until after sending this was post 500 for me. I hope some of them have made sense. I sure have enjoyed the comments and useful information I have received from the members of this forum. Thanks everybody.

In "Travels With Charlie" Steinbeck used a 5 gal bucket with a lid for his laundry. The idea has been around for a while.

I have a copy of that great book right here next to me. Maybe that is where I recall hearing about it.

Maybe that is why they created the 'traffic circles/round-abouts'. The spin cycle is now covered.

What kind of person would not get excited about camping after reading this book?

So is half the stuff on the internet but that does not stop folks from believing it.
According to what you read, the trip actually happened but John Steinbeck WAS a novelist and likely embellished it.

Thanks for the link, clutch. That was a good read. Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors. A man with common sense; a term we don't hear anymore.
