Attcked by a lion while camping ; )

Happened a few years back. My daughter & step-daughter was attacked by a lion at the beach area of a local lake right here in Virginia!

Thankfully, I taught her how to defend herself in such a situation:

Smile Nervous for a second ....

Wow when I saw the topic title before opening the post I just about had a heartache. We are camping 8 Km (4 Miles) from a Lion Safari this weekend. Haven't told my daughter that as she would be freaked out about lions escaping. Cool picks. Will have to remember to pack my plastic shovel.

A close friend has some during and after pictures from a visit to the Rocky Mtn NP several years ago. Thats when I decided my next camper would be hard sided. In the above incident, a bear tore into one end of their pop-up. Nobody hurt but it was a real bear. Not too concerned about lions but there are real scary things out there.

We have a somewhat local Safari close to us on I81. Went one time to find the baby tigers let out for the public to pet. That was neat... Kids loved it... There was four baby tigers running everywhere...
