Best RV Movie?

We are thoroughly enjoying our new trailer and recently extended the theme and watched the Robin Williams RV movie which my kids loved.

What are some other good RV themed movies?

Another entertaining one is "About Schmidt" with Jack Nicholson.

I can remember going to the drive-in with my parents to see "The Long, Long Trailer. After watching it again a couple years ago, I think some of the scenes pulling the trailer up a mountain may have been just a bit "Exaggerated"!

In addition to "RV", "About Schmidt", and "The Long, Long Trailer", check-out: "Lost in America", "Paul", "Slither", "Stripes", and "We're the Millers".

FYI -- About Schmidt might not be to kid friendly depending on age. I recall pretty foul language and adult themes.

Amazing movie! So much of what happens in this 1954 movie (in color) is still pertinent today, from the RV Show to their towing as newbies. Spectacular scenery and no freeways!

So true - the "ask" was for RV movies. It is for parents to read reviews or a synopsis (I see a few of the hyperlinks failed) and make choices right for their family.

The Great Outdoors! Hands down. Not an RV but the single greatest outdoor enthusiast comedy ever produced. John Candy is incredible. His stuff never gets old and is family friendly. We carry most of his movies in addition to Grumpy and Grumpier Old Men in the trailer.

"We're the Millers" might fall into that category as well. Although I particularly enjoyed Jennifer Aniston's performance.

Another one not for the kiddies....

Little Miss Sunshine

It has been a long time since I've seen this and it's not really an RV movie, but part of the movie is ... ' an eventful 700-mile journey with the family in a vintage VW van from Albuquerque to Redondo Beach.'

I agree, but since the OP specifically mentioned watching "RV" with the kids I wanted to make the observation just incase.

Thanks for the great suggestions, our family will be watching the Great Outdoors tonight. (Found it on Amazon to stream!)

We will save Schmidt for another night when it's just my wife and I.

The Great Outdoors is excellent.

We are partial to that movie because it was filmed at one of our local lakes, Bass Lake near the Yosemite's South Gate, and a place we camp frequently. So many great LOL funny scenes I hope you love it.

Winnebago Man, a documentary feature film, was released to critical acclaim and even won some awards. But ... apparently not suitable for kiddies!
