Nice view. I had a similar one out in the Bay off Tangier.

Happy Birthday Crabman!
Saw your Pics & recommendation in an earlier thread. Made reservations for Janes Island late June after spending a few days @ Assateague island NP.

Thanks, we were in site B24 electric/pet/waterfront. No water hookups in these sties but water spigots are near some sites throughout the park. Living only 50 miles away I filled my tank before leaving home.

All of the Waterfront sites were taken. Reserved B27 to be close to the water, and still have a Pet site. Did not realize until after making the reservation that we are not very far from the CampStore, which could create some noise.

Looking forward to camping there.

Noise should not be an issue in 27. I have stayed in 26 during major holidays and it was always a relaxing place. Regularly patrolled by rangers. There is also a spigot in site 26, you may be able to fill up from there.

Happy Birthday Crabman. Great way to spend it. We're thinking of heading to Janes Island weekend of 5/15, if new 27rls is here Site 26 Is available. Heard a concern about 27 do you think 26 would be ok?

I'm not really too concerned about 27 either. Just in the one Pic on the reservation site you can see the store and a large tent type pavilion in the background. Concern is more that the dogs may be 'alert' the whole time due to distant noise & movement.

I have to agree with CrabMan most MD State Parks are well patrolled and normally very quiet

I don't think Nambarc is ever invited! He just shows up!

Happy (belated) Birthday, Crabman! Looks like you had a great time.

I have camped in 26 twice. Its a bit tight getting in and out as there is a tree near the left entrance of the site, but pulling ahead off the road onto the grass allows a clean back-in. My rig is about 31 feet. There is a spigot on 26 so you can fill up right there.

Yes our two dogs stay on alert as well, looking out the windows. If someone walks a dog near by, they let us know it! One odd thing about B loop is that part of that loop pets are not allowed.

Great! Think he can make it in time for my 103rd birthday on May 7th?

Ya know, most people have "milestone" birthdays (30, 40, 50, 60, etc.), but at my age, every birthday is a milestone!
