Can Your DW Pack Light?

My plan was to pick up our Jayco Monday, PDI it and install the ProPride 3P, then leave TT and my one-ton dually with the dealer and rent a small, high MPG car and drive a thousand miles to visit relatives. Mentioned to D, DW the car was rated for one large and two small bags. When I began to haul stuff from the motel we were in to the truck for the one-week storage, D, DW said, "Wait! That all goes with us." "All" was a large suitcase, a huge suitcase, a large softside, a maxed out carry-on and a cooler! The dually has averaged about 17 MPG so far.

In my state it is illegal to use 'DW' and 'pack light' in the same sentence.

LOL, reminds of when Don and I flew to Europe a couple of years ago to see my dad, my dad went to lift the largest suitcase into the trunk of his car. He's from that era where he thinks all women are the same! He looked at ME and asked me what the heck I stuffed into that big suitcase and "why do all women have to pack so much!?!?".

LOL, so Don goes to grab the suitcase admonishing my dad for almost scratching his suitcase. My dad was pretty surprised to see it was Don's!

Reminds me of the times when we would visit the mother-in-law. We had a station wagon and were fairly full when we arrived. (DW + 2 kids) When leaving, the mother-in-law kept bringing stuff out to me to take with us. Bottom line, we were going down the hwy bouncing off the frame. Overloaded? That's a big 10-4.

DD,DW and I went on a 2 week South American cruise and we each had one large suite case and one carry on and one extra carry on for a C=Pap so some can pack light. :hihi:

I do feel sorry for some of you. My wife really can pack lite. Sometimes we have to hit a laundramat to complete a trip but we are rarely overloaded.

Isn't that what your RV is?... a house on wheels

No, no. The house is hooked up behind the RV.
