Check your tires!

Just a reminder to check your tires out. We made a 600 mile trip this weekend to Disneys Fort Wilderness and actually lost count of the TT's and 5er's on the side of I75 with tire blow outs. Not only RVs, but one loaded down van lost a tire right in front of us with rubber chips bouncing off my hood and windshield. Talked to another guy at the halfway point campground that lost 2 tires 50 miles apart. He ended up changing all his out because they were dry rotted, and he didnt know.....he probably never looked at them.

Thats all. Just a reminder to check your tires out.

Never hurts to be reminded. I'll be looking at mine soon.

I just put 5 new treads on today. The installer put 45 psi in each. Made him go back and add 20 more.

The old tires were starting to dry rot.

Every spring I have the dealer check tires, brakes, and bearings. It costs me a little money but those are things that I can't check easily (well except tires) and can make for a bad trip if any of them fail.

This last checkup they found an issue with a brake and had it replaced under warranty.

Everything riding on top of the frame, I can handle [emoji3]

Good advise but even watching you can have an issue. Lost a tire last year on a 2014 (tires 2013) went to LT's. Saved the two that looked near new and discarded the blown and one that looked bubbled outside. I always check pressure before moving and drive 62-65 with and occupational pass to maybe 70. Put them on Craigs list and a buyer rolled them and found both had bubbles INSIDE. That was all 4 originals under two years old.

Switching to LTs is a good move. I changed my 29.5 to LT 16s from ST 15s. I never once worried about them on our trip.

Very true checking may not catch anything...but it doesn't hurt to check anyway.
