The first generation Ford PowerStroke 7.3l diesel engine-- 444 C.I.

The International (Navistar) version was called a T444E.

When I was in the Army Reserve, I belonged to the 444 Personnel Service Company (Type E)

Back in the 1960's, if you had a 1963 Chevy with a 425 h.p. 409 c.i. engine and a

rear axle, there was not much that could keep up with you at the drag strip or on the streets.
