Counting is too hard. People would rather quote the serial number of the post, because last number plus one is really difficult.

If you go back to the start of the thread, it's 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7...
We couldn't make it to 5 without a counting error! Also skipped 17.
I'm thinking it would be fun (fun?) to go through the thread and fill in all the numbers people skipped in oder to make the "count" match the serial number on the post. But who has that kind of free time.
