TheJayco was bought new 'cause I could afford it and I was searching for the 'perfect' trailer.

My first trailer was a well loved 26-year-old Chateau Lite 15, bought from the original owner.

My Jayco 38FDDS was ordered new (love it!). My previous TT, a 2005 Sunnybrook Solanta 3310 was bought used (great trailer also!).

Bought used, saved quite a bit, but the paint fading on the front cap is gonna end up biting me in the butt at some point ($1500-2000) to repaint, probably still slightly ahead in the long run. Otherwise camper still looks new and very few issues, 2013 28DSBH

Did you buy your Jayco RV new or used?

On our 2nd camper, both Jayco's and both bought new. Bought the 1st one off dealer lot and special ordered the 2nd one.

OP likes starting these polls lol. Nothing wrong that just saying...

Bought our Jayco new, after seeing the same TT at a show, only it was a StarCraft that was being discontinued. That's when we found out Jayco owned them, and made the same floor plan.

Bought new because it was our first ever, so the warranty and dealer support were/are important. So we were willing to pay a bit of a premium for that as well as getting exactly what we wanted.

Our next unit will likely be used (gently). I feel like I know A LOT more about these things than I did when we bought this one, so I have a better idea of what to look for in a used unit. That being said, the next one will be a MH, and while I'm relatively comfortable with the chassis used on Class C MH, I don't know much about those on Class A. So support will be important on the next one too, but I'm not sure it'll be worth the premium we'd pay on a new unit (or that we'll even be able to afford new).

DW will tell you that it's because she didn't want a "used toilet seat". I've told her we could replace the entire toilet (and the mattress) on the next one and we'd still come out WAY ahead.
