First one used. Second one new. Therefore my vote will cancel itself out.

Bought used but you wouldn't know it and it was 2 years old. This trailer has been great and owes me nothing after more than 27,000 miles. Outside of just regular service I'm going to install a new AC gasket this winter because it's exposed to the elements and at 6 years old I figure it's time.

New... Our first camper and I liked the idea of the 2-year warranty to give me some extra time to get up to speed on things before having to decide whether to do something myself or have the dealer do it. At this point the warranty will be up by the time we are ready to head out in the spring. To date we have about 10K miles on it with only a couple of minor warranty items that the dealer fixed, so hopefully keeping up on regular inspection and maintenance I can keep it that way.

We looked at used but kept coming up with crap. Finally went to a dealer and looked at their used stuff but the price difference was such that we bit the bullet and bought new. Every used unit we looked at had either a smell or something that just turned us off. Very glad we went new...

The biggest issue buying used seems to be finding what you want, and in good shape too. And many of the late model units the owners are underwater on their long term loans so they want almost as much as new. But there are deals to be had out there, as many of our members will attest. Just have to get lucky and find a cream puff with the floor plan, colors, length, weight, equipment etc. you can live with.

This one was purchased new, last trailer was used. My wife and I will probably look at gently used for the next one. I am not sure if there is enough value in having it new.

Where is the option for "Both"

Bought the first New the the second Used.

I now realize how many people give up on camping, or trade up very quickly, so there are lots of high quality private party used units available at a steal. I find the dealers way over price their used inventory to drive more new sales.

^^^ This. Need a 3rd option as many of us have bought more than one RV. My first was "new" but a very late season purchase so a great deal. But our current was purchased used, again late season. Really like buying end of season up here in Canada when the sales are drying up.

Gently used. Looked like it just came off the showroom floor.
