Fairly easy explanation, in 2000 I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor that resulted in a condition called Acromegaly. Medical term for my body produces too much Human Growth Hormone (HGH). In adolescents is causes giantism, think Andrew the Giant (Pro Wrestler from the 70's), Jaws on the James Bond movie are just some examples. Only 3 in 100,000 develop Acro. When my doctor gave us the news, she said it was a lLIFE altering condition.... no cure, just control. Have been battling ever since.

The last part palette, comes from my artist side. Fine art watercolors and egg tempera.

Combined, Lifespalette..........we're all given a palette of colors in life. Our masterpiece is how we apply them to our canvas and the masterpiece we make.

The Icescreamer name comes from our first trip in our pop-up to Rollins Pond in the Adirondacks. Every evening the ice cream man ( trailer that looked like a cabin ) would drive by our site. The trailer had a bell in its axle that would ring as it drove by... and whenever I heard it I would scream "ice cream" and go running.

My initials are RDW, so it's evolved over the years from RD to RDUB to RDUBYA. The 448was just added to make it long enough.

What we call our sticks and bricks home. It is actually Little Shack on the Hill, cause we live in a little wooden house on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley and lake. It's not really a shack, but it is unique!
