Getting kids outdoors

Came across this article today, thought it was a good read! The puma remark made me laugh!

I really enjoyed reading this. All kids should have camping opportunities like this!

I am in my fifties and grew up as an outdoors kid. My fondest memories were summer days on my grandfathers dairy farm in Vermont. Roaming the fields and woods and spending more time in our tree house then the farm house!
My grandson loves to go RVing with us and he is developing a real love of the outdoors.

Smile A big thank you....to TRIPLEJS

Although this a tad off topic...I want to thank (TriplsJS) whoever you are...I decided to read this thread not really sure what it was about (me and my wife don't have children) but thought maybe there was something humorus about it.
I didn't make it past the two photographs at the top of the article. I instantly recognized them...and then it suddenly dawned on me. Those pictures are from a book my father used to read to me as a child...it was my favorite bedtime story book!!!

Tommy's Camping Adventure, from Little Golden Books, 1962.

Its 8 o'clock a.m. saturday morning (and I'm at work)...and you just took my memories back 30+ years to my childhood. Happy day! Bless you.

You're welcome Tyreguy! Glad it made your day a little better! I'll have to do a search for a copy of that book on EBay, sounds like one my son would enjoy as well. Oh, and my name is Joe. Now you know me! Lol.
