Harper CamperLand, Great Bend, KS, Great Service

I picked up my trailer today from the dealer service department, and the treatment I received was so good I feel like they deserve a few good words here. And I'm no way affiliated with the company. I'm just a happy customer.

I towed my 26BH about 10,000 miles from November to March, and had a list of several problems I hoped would be covered by the Jayco warranty when my trip was over.

The problems included:

1. -- The dinette table top cracked

2. -- Wear on the weight distribution hitch head (the holes that the spring bars go through were wearing)

3. -- Strings on two of the day/night shades broke

4. -- The blind behind the kitchen sink wouldn't stay in the up position

5. -- The fresh water tanks didn't fill properly

6. -- The stereo system speakers weren't working correctly

It took them two weeks to correct all the problems since parts were ordered, but everything was fixed, with no hassle at all. I was half expecting them to try to get out of fixing some of the problems, but they happily repaired or replaced every issue I had.

When I picked it up today, the service manager, Jerry, got a ladder out and showed me what to look for when checking the sealant on the roof, and explained how to maintain it. Then he took the time to explain how to check the rest of the sealed areas so I could prevent leaks before they happened.

And right before I left I remembered one more problem (the rubber channel strip that covers the screw in the door frame kept popping out). Right away, he got one of the techs to come out and put a few screws in the rubber to hold it in place. The tech said there was a service memo on that fix, so it's a problem Jayco is aware of.

And as I was getting ready to leave, I started to check my trailer lights, and Jerry came right out and stood behind the trailer to make sure they were working right, which they were.

Anyway, the service was so good I feel like the least I can do is tell you all about the good experience I had with the Harper Camperland service department.

Have a good one,

I like to hear about good service experiences. We hear so much about the bad ones. -Lee

There are a lot of good dealers out there and we seldom hear about them. Good post.
