Home Gym Suggestions
Does anyone have any suggestions on a home gym up to about $1,000. We're not looking to be body builders, only to get some definition in our flabby bodies. lol
I know I can probably get something a lot cheaper off craigs list or something but I want to but new.

We have a bowflex gym, that goes on sale at Sears for half price regularly. Our trainer set up a full body workout for us, and our son who is a body builder uses it whenever he stays with us and says that it has everything you need. It goes on sale for around $600-$700.

It really helps to put the manual in a binder, and use the exercise logs they provide.

I ordered some kind of computer software they offered too. I think that keeps track of your routines and shows videos of how to use the machine.

Well, I got the software today and am currently installing it. I also got one of my power rod upgrades. So right now I pretty much have everything I need except for the main thing, the machine. lol

I set it up a few weeks ago and used it a handful of times. This past Monday is when I finally began an exercise/meal plan and so far so good. I've already lost about 2 lbs and am on a diet of about 1,500 calories.
As for the bowflex software, it seems like it could be of value but I really haven't been able to get it to work. It's older software and I don't seem it wants to work on windows 7. I can get it to load and then I can input some exercises but when I go to another page everything disappears. My exercises disappear and even all of the info in the dialog boxes disappears. It's basically useless for me now. I've been keeping track of my eating and exercising on livestrong anyway and also keep a more detailed bowflex log in a binder I keep by the machine.
