At home. I don't want to play "dodge the drunk driver" after midnight. We have appetizers and a movie until almost midnight, watch the ball drop, then head to bed. It is simple, but I find the time with family to be excellent.

The local hotel that has live music every weekend (where we met) also runs a New Year's party.

Reservations paid for last week!

An old buddy of mine, who was a confirmed drinker, always called New Years Eve "Amateurs Night", He said those that never took a drink during the previous year would be out in force and loaded to the gills, I agree with this view and have not been "out" on New Years for over 30 years.

I'll be in the house with our pups and the kid's mother watching the Las Vegas fireworks on channel 8. Can't describe any more of the evening activities on this family forum (wink).

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

It will be an early to bed evening since I organizing and loading up for a trip tomorrow morning to Jennings Ferry Campground where I will be hosting the first quarter of 2017.

It is always amazing to me how fast we can spread out after being here on my home base site for only 3 months.

At work again, but at least the double time and holiday pay will be enough to finish filling our kitty for the three big camping trips we have planned so far for the new year!

Just the 2 of us at home with our furry 4 legged son. We'll all be asleep long before midnight after watching the ball drop in NY at 9pm our time.

We always go to a nice restaurant just outside the city -- actually, it's on the outskirts of one of our favorite campgrounds -- that has a special New years Eve menu. Then we come home, watch a movie or two, and in bed before midnight. We used to do the party thing in our younger days, but not any more. That's the best way to avoid the crowds and the people who don't believe the DUI laws apply to them.

At my wife's mother's house. My wife's brother and his family will be there as well. They live in NC.

I will be sleeping when the new year arrives. It feels like ground hog day watching the ball drop after so many years.

Not a youngster however...Just a small party with our camping group. Weather here in Ohio prevented us from camping this year.

Wonder what the median age is on JOF?
