I hit a bird the other day

and now I can't find it. It's in the front of my truck somewhere!

I thought I had hit a bird, but I didn't see anything out my rearview. I thought "I better remember to check it's not stuck to the damn radiator". But I forgot about it because it was the middle of the day, and I was on an errand during work. So I got home and parked the truck in the garage.

Next day DW says "what's that dead animal smell?" when we're leaving for work. I said "aw crap, I forgot I hit a wittle bird yesterday! " Again, on the way to work so I didn't have a lot of time to REALLY look, but I popped the hood, looked all around the front end and couldn't find it!

Now I'm thinking I should just park outside the garage until it's done rotting!

lol. Been there...I had a lowered S-10 when I was stationed in Louisiana and hit a skunk which thru chunks of flesh on my muffler. There was not much left of the carcass under the truck but it smelled horrible for days.

Ha! I'll do ya one better! Pregnant wife with a nose like a bloodhound couldn't find it!

My wondermutt would be more interested in getting in the truck to go camping than sniffing out that stupid bird!

My dog will sniff and lick my tires after passing over a fresh kill.

how about going to a do it your self car wash and open the hood and spray everything down realy good from evry angle, including from the underside. Also do not forget to look in the air cleaner for the air intake, it might have gotten sucked up.

I hit a bird last week and watched it bounce forwards and towards the side of the road. Thought about saying something to the DW and kid, but decided I better not.
