Information is key, so read and check everything

My 30.5 BHLT is getting some warranty work done to it. After reading about the slide out tape issue, I went out to check mine. Sure enough the front slide had the problem. While climbing the ladder, I noticed what appeared to be a screw (rusted) protruding through the outer shell and another area which was spidered. So I made an appointment to get it all taken care of before going on the first trip this year.

I had a small laundry list of items and I am hopeful that everything gets taken care of. The good news is that (so far) I haven't had to fight about anything. It always stinks to have problems, but how those problems are handled can make or break the experience.

Looking forward to going to pick it up so I can bring it home and start to clean 'er up and get ready for a full camping summer! Lots of mods getting ready to do, second A/C, filtered water faucet, TV mount for the rear bedroom....

Got the camping bug bad this year, and I need to get out soon

The tape issue seems to affect a lot of Jayco's, ours included.

Can someone link me to the post that explains the tape issue.. We have never had a slide before and I have no idea what this means.

It probably won't wrinkle until about July or August. Knowing what I know now I would look at the tops of the slides before the deal is done.

Dealer called and it's ready to pick-up. They told me that everything was done. Although I have had issues with the RV, it's great that the dealer (Campers Barn, Kingston, NY) and Jayco have been so easy to deal with. No frustration, aggravation or having to fight on anything. Looking forward to picking it up

A good dealer is the key to satisfaction.
