We pass 'Land between the Lakes' in KY all the time heading back to home front in Southern Ill. Have never stopped there. I guess it is just too close to final destination...
I believe the TN RIVER flows NORTH through this area and joins the OHIO River which is strange. Not many places in the US where the rivers flow NORTH.
I like anywhere where there is plenty of wildlife running loose. Petting BUFFALO in Wichita Mtn Wildlife Refuge near Medicine Park OKLA is lots of fun haha...
Kinda on my bucket list to finally camp there someday...
