From JOF FAQ: "To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image....."

I use "TinyPic" as a host site (there are others) for inserting images/photos into my posts.

Glad we don't get snow down here. Well, maybe once every 10 years or so we'll get one or two inches. Schools close, stores close, government offices close, work sends you home, or tells you not to come in.

Folks down here are not used to driving in snow or icy condition.

Mike,

The "tinypic" web site works great for photos stored on your PC for inserting them at forums/message boards. Tinypic is just a hosting site to properly format the pic that one wants "paste" into a post. There are numerous ways to paste/embed a pic in a post, but care should be taken to keep the pic size small so they load fast. http://www.jaycoowners.com/showthrea...s-to-Your-Post

I believe your getting the small pic because you are using the JOF Upload feature which only creates a thumbnail, then one has to click on the thumbnail to see a larger version.

Bob

Pic taken by a pilot flying over a West Texas dust storm today. Somewhere below all that dust is my house.

Dan,

Reminds of the recent documentary on the "Dust Bowl".

When the streetlights come on in the middle of the day and visibility is 1/4 mile, along with gusts of 60mph during one of these frequent storms out here, it is a mini-version of that documentary.

Half sunken steel hull boat.

Taken Sept. of this year on a Canoe trip down a Louisiana Bayou. This boat has been there for many years.

Thanks, Bob.

Canoe trip 2010. In a tributary of the Tickfaw River, southeast Louisiana.

The name "Tickfaw" is short for "Pawtickfaw", an American Indian word, meaning "Rest Among the Pines."
