Liquor prices far and wide?

I'm a big Captain Morgan fan and pay about $38 regular price for a 1.75L bottle here in Upstate NY. My son can buy it on the military bases (also in NY) for $26. Last year, I discovered the same bottle can be had in FL for just under $20. I can't recall if that was a regular or sale price, but I can tell you I walked out with a full case in hand. Another fave, Seagram's 7, seems to follow this pricing pattern similarly. What say ye JOF members? What are you seeing for pricing on our bad habits across the good ol' US of A?

A lot depends on whether the State controls pricing. In Ohio prices are uniform for beer, wine and liquor no matter what store.
I find good bargains in IL, except Cook county because of taxes. Found Woodford Reserve at Costco for $20 (.75) definitely a stock-up day.

The advantage of the Military base is no local tax on anything, so definitely some bargains.

Back in January while near Ft Walton Beach FL I picked up a 1.75L bottle of Cap Morgan and Dewars for $20 each, military base. Public stores were much higher.

Here in ET, Morgan is about $36-40 depending on where you are.

We have a warehouse liquor mart about a mile from the house. My neighbor and I go in on cases of vodka and whiskey, wait... actually it's AppleJack that delivers. Free delivery to your door. Best prices in town. I'm more of a beer guy and brew my own.. sitting on 4 kegs right now, but for the hard stuff, cases is the way to go for sure.

I'll have to dig up my last invoice to quote prices, but it was close to half off buying this way.

Edit Found it - 22.50 a bottle here for captain morgan bottles, by the 12 ea. case with free delivery. We have some kind of rewards card with them that I think comes with a bigger discount, we only order maybe once a year.

During a visit to St. Maarten last month we found Captain Morgan 750ml for $6 on the Dutch side, some of the off brands of rum sell as low as $2 and they were pretty good. The best deal for me was my bad habit of smoking, at home a carton is $64, island price $6 a carton for Marlboro. I asked the shop owner what his price was he said $3, they don't have any tax on booze or smokes.

Don't buy anything alcoholic in Alabama. State stores and private stores have to buy from the state stores and resell.

I travel frequently enough to Georgia, Arkansas, and Florida to never buy anything in Alabama.

Prices in NH state liquor stores run $25.00 to $30.00 depending on flavor, white, spiced, etc. Most are on sale until the end of April..

Ouch! Suddenly, NY prices don't seem so bad...
