My camping logbook

In 2012 I started keeping a logbook every time we camped. I would write down the date, the park, site number, etc. for each day of our trip. This serves as a way of documenting activities, events and the overall tone of the trip. I had a great time recently as I sat in my cold, silent camper and read through all of 2012's adventures. My biggest regret is not implementing this practice years ago. Someday when I'm old and incapacitated I'll have my caregiver read this book back to me for my bedtime story.

If you don't keep a log, I highly recommend you start!!

LOL Caregiver's love reading memory books! How detailed you get now could actually wind up being quite entertaining later

We take photo's even when we head to the local c/g even for a few days. We keep sorta a photo journal on my laptop. Glad we do, it's fun to look back every now and then

My camping logbook

I like the idea of a log book, and if you have visitors it would be nice if they added to it as well.

I tried keeping a log this past summer. I forgot to write down the info about half of the time. I hope to try again this next camping season. I was better about writing down maintenance items.

We faithfully kept a log book for many years. All of the kids would tell me something to write in the log each night. It was part of our evening routine. Then on bad weather days someone would pick a journal and then I would open it at random. Read what was written for that day. The kids loved it. I would bring back all kinds of memories. I highly recommend keeping a log book.

I`ve been keeping a camping logbook for some years now. Every trip including Scouting events is logged.

I've been keeping a log of every camping trip starting in 1999.

I have a app on my phone that syncs with Outlook Notes on my computer. I start a new log every year so I have separate folders for each year.

Once you get into the habit of keeping a log it is easy.

Great idea! My hubby has kept a daily "log" of all his activities, work, play, etc... for years. He loves going back several years to see what he did on a certain day. We even use his log to determine when we can take a quick or long camping get-away because he is also a creature of habit when it comes to his 2 careers.
