NASCAR Las Vegas

Since it is still too cold and wet to go camping we are doing the next best thing. Going to Vegas!!! We are going to the Kobalt tools 400!! This will be our first race is there any regular goings on around the track we should do? We have a group of 12 going to the track 10 of us are staying at the Flamingo (2 are snowbirds and are in Arizona now heading to Vegas before the race).

Go fast!! Turn left!!

Bring hearing protection. Lots of hearing protection! On Friday's qualifying runs you'll think that one of those cars going around is loud. On Sunday when they drop the green, you'll get blown out of your shoes!! NASCAR races are so much fun, we go to Fontana as often as we can for the Auto Club 500. There's different things to do at each track, but I always like to swing by the SPEED TV set when they're filming after qualifying on Friday. You might get to meet some cool folks like Darrell Waltrip or Larry McReynolds (who was kind enough to let me see his Daytona 500 ring. I say there are two things you should never go to a race without - hearing protection and a good Sharpie marker for autographs! Have fun!

We can't wait for this. I still would love to go to Charlotte or Bristol, but this will be fun plus a week in Vegas.

We are only going to the cup race this ime around, just over two weeks away until we leave. We are going to watch the haulers go down the strip on the Thursday night. It is a group of our camping friends going with us
