I`m a huge Patton Fan BTW. Saw the movie, read Bradley`s book, "The Fighting Soldier".

"Now I want you to remember that no ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb die for his country." - Gen George S. Patton

Lee - I, too, have been very interested in all things Patton for many years. One book you might be interested in reading is titled "Target Patton" by Robert K. Wilcox. It details a lot of unanswered questions about events around Patton's car accident. I have corresponded with the author about details of the Cadillac he was riding in, as my shop is restoring a Cadillac almost identical to Patton's, except a different year. It appears that the vehicle in the Patton museum at Ft Knox is not the actual car he had the accident in.
