Nothing is private anymore

I opened my browser to my homepage, Google, and found a nice "Google word" of birthday cakes. I though, nice they are priming us for the 4th of July. When I hovered my mouse over the word, it said "happy birthday Todd". Well, today is my birthday. Just goes to show you that because of the internet, noting is private anymore. It really never was, just not everyone had easy access to our personal information. Just the new world we live in today!

Ah! The power of social media. Somewhere you have shared information about yourself and made it public, whether you knew you did or not.

They always get my birthday wrong! Probably because I never put the right date in on any form that I fill out.

X2 on making up stuff to confuse the companies that shouldn't need your info. One other thing - when a form "requires" a telephone number that you don't want to give out, I just give it an exchange prefix that doesn't exist in my area code. Works most of the time, unless their computer picks that up. In that case, I just cancel the whole form and go somewhere else.

You think that's bad...

True story: This guy contacts JOF staff that he's not happy about the ad's that are popping up on this forum (adult content type websites). Poor guy! He had no idea that JOF's server is only posting the type of information that he searches for on the web on that computer LOL!

Depending on what web site is asking I either give it the phone number of a local restaurant or City police Drug squad unit.
